Humanitarian Care on the Tonle Sap Lake, Cambodia

The Tonle Sap Lake is the largest lake in all of SE Asia. As many as a million refugees live on this lake and make a living from it. The people living on this lake represent a true “water world,” with entire villages needing assistance. These people have fundamentally no humanitarian assistance, but PCL is making great strides to bring much needed help to this impoverished area.

South Carolina Provides Floating Centers

In 2007, the Men and Women of Action of SC partnered with PCL to construct a two-story floating medical clinic and feeding center for the Tonle Sap Lake.

The SC-MWOA State Director, Patton Butts, and Missions Director of Calvary COG, Westminster, SC, Gary Burton, initiated this project in the summer of 2006.

South Carolina raised the entire $17,000 to construct the boat! Thank you MWOA in South Carolina! Funds are still needed to resource this ministry and provide staff to live on the boat. About $100 a month will provide Khmer staff to live on the boat. If you would like to help by funding this project monthly need please email us or you can donate securely online here.

SOUTH CAROLINA SPONSORS ANOTHER BOAT.... EVEN LARGER!

MWOA of South Carolina have once again partnered with PCL to build a second floating center that is being used as a daily preschool, feeding center, training center, and medical clinic.
