Julie Martinez Joins PCL's Staff in Cambodia

Dequito    Julie Martinez and her two children, Caleb and Rachel, joined the PCL staff in Siem Reap, Cambodia a few short weeks ago.
    Julie is the managing director of the Downtown Center in Siem Reap, Cambodia. This 4-story facility includes the Common Grounds Coffee and Cyber Cafe and the PCL Vocational Training School that includes English as Second Language and Computer Training. The upper floors house staff and volunteers. She will also be assisting with the PCL School located at the Children's Home. Julie served in Zambia, Africa for several years prior to coming to work with PCL.  English Class at High School

Julie with the English Class she is providing to the Tuk Tuk Drivers.  All English Classes are given free of charge.  Julie is quickly making a Big Impact in Cambodia!

Gets New Directors:

 

Noel & Fe Dequito 

 

 
 

       

Noel and Fe Dequito assumed the position of Children's Home Directors this summer.  Noel and Fe have worked at the Children's Home alongside the former directors, Simon and Dora Valenzuela, for several years. (Simon is the new ISOLD Director for Northern Cambodia and is moving to the Tonle Sap area to oversee the work there.) Noel and Fe have two sons, Paul and Joshua.

to serve as Human Relations Managers for PCL.  Israel and Debbie served many years in Chile prior to coming to PCL.

Jaime Barks Joins PCL Team
 
PCL is fortunate to have Jaime Barks join the USA office part-time.  Jaime will be assisting Jenn Tollefson with administrative tasks as well as overseeing Donor Relations.  Shirley Garmon, former Donor Relations Dir will be focusing on communications and public relations as webmaster and through email newsletters such as this.  Jaime also works at Habitat for Humanity as the Coordinator of Volunteer Services.
