PCL PARTNERS WITH CAMBODIAN GOVERNMENT TO BUILD MEDICAL CLINIC

The March 2007 team witnessed the ground breaking of a new medical
clinic in Kork Thork Leu. Joining in the ceremony was the
Vice Governor of Cambodia & the N Cambodia Medical
Director, Dr Dy Bun Chin, including 600+ people from the
community. According to Dr Chin, this location is one of the most needy
areas of rural Cambodia. The Cambodian government will staff the clinic
and PCL teams will have use of the clinic for medical mission
trips. The clinic will also serve as a feeding and humanitarian
services center. The government of Cambodia donated the land and PCL is
funding the $40,000 to construct the clinic. We have already provided
$10,000 and need to raise the remaining $30,000. Help with this effort
by donating now. Attend the dedication of the new facility by traveling with us Oct 22- Nov 2, 2007! Sign up now for the Oct trip. (pictured

PCL Partners with the United Nations to Supply Clean Water to the thousands of refugees living on the Tonle Sap Lake in Cambodia. Every 15 seconds a child dies from lack of access to clean water and the residents of the Tonle Sap Lake know this all too well as there is no fresh water available to them.
This project is headed up by Garry and Kay Lentz of Lehigh Acres, FL, a
well driller who visited the Tonle Sap with us in 2006. The
UN plans to provide a barge and all the geological and logistical
work and the Lentz' are donating the drill rig. PCL
must raise the money to ship the drill rig etc..., est
$30,000; a small price to provide clean water to the Cambodian and
Vietnamese refugees on this massive and poverty stricken lake. Help with this effort by donating now. |

SOUTH CAROLINA PROVIDES FLOATING MEDICAL CLINIC
PCL and the Men and Women of Action of SC are partnering to construct a two-story floating medical clinic and feeding center for the Tonle Sap Lake. The
SC-MWOA State Director, Patton Butts, and Missions Director
of Calvary COG, Westminster, SC, Gary Burton, initiated this
project in the summer of 2006. The
boat is presently being constructed and a team from SC along with a
large PCL group are traveling in June of 2007 to dedicate this vital
new ministry. South Carolina has raised the entire $17,000 to construct the boat! Thank you MWOA in South Carolina! Funds are still needed to resource this ministry and provide staff to live on the boat. About $100 a month will provide Khmer staff to live on the boat. If you would like to help by funding this monthly need please email us or you can donate now. |
ORPHANAGE GETS ELECTRICITY
Thanks to Pastor Kevin
Wallace & the Mountain Meadows COG in Ooltewah, TN for
raising $15,000 to provide electrical service to our Siem Reap,
Cambodia orphanage! Up to this point, the orphanage has been serviced by a large diesel engine that has been expensive to run and maintain. This
new supply of electricity will not only provide refrigeration and
lights but it will also provide security by lighting the mile and half
section of road leading to the facility and shining security lights at
night. Thank you Pastor Kevin for traveling with us in March of 2007 and leading your congregation to meet this need! |
DENTAL EQUIPMENT DONATED
Dr.
Ken Pilgrim, a dentist in the Chattanooga area and PCL board member,
took on the project of raising $16,000 to purchase two much needed
portable dental stations. These state of the
art stations can be moved from location to location as dentists
volunteer their services to the Cambodia area. Dr.
Pilgrim traveled with us along with his two dental assistants, Tina
Hixon and Kim Harrison, in January of 2007 and represented the first
dental team to travel to Cambodia. Dr. Pilgrim plans to take two dental teams every year. If you are a dental professional and would like to travel on one of these teams, please contact our office for more details. |
We want to Thank You for Partnering With Us
to Continue the Work in the 10/40 Window.
Did you know that less than
3% of All Giving Goes to the 10/40 Window?
This area represents only one-third of the Earth's land
but it is where almost two-thirds of the world's population reside.
The majority of the world's poorest people-
some 80 percent-live here. Won't you help us help them?
