Their father was a policeman. Both Ravuth and Vantha, his small brother, were left to their uncle who has a family of his own. While in Phnom Penh, they were helped by an organization to go to school. Their relatives were also poor so they decided to free themselves from the responsibility of taking care of them so they sent them to their grandmother in Siem Reap. She was very sickly and felt bad to see her grandchildren suffering living with her. Her neighbor had seen their misery and referred them to the PCL Children's Home. |
